Overview

Bluetooth V2.1+EDR+Class 1
The EB-MDC1 is a Bluetooth Class 1 USB adapter which complies with new Bluetooth V2.1+EDR standards and is backward compatible with Bluetooth V2.0, V1.1 and V1.0. Bluetooth V2.1 provides many useful functions, including lower power consumption and enhanced security. With the EDR( Enhanced Data Rate) technology, it provides the data rate up to 3Mbps. Class 1 device offers unparalleled receiver sensitivity and transmitter output power to maintain Bluetooth connections up to 100 meters which is ten times farther than Class 2 solutions. The EB-MDC1 compact design allows you to fit it in a limited space without interfering with other USB devices.

Secure Simple Pairing
The EB-MDC1 supports secure simple pairing function which allows users to pair devices much more simply and quickly. The secure simple pairing function can reduce the number of operations / keystrokes required via confirming the same 6-digit pairing number automatically.
 
Up to 5x longer battery life
The EB-MDC1 “Sniff Subrating” feature can increase the battery life of connected Bluetooth V2.1 device 5 times in sleep mode. Sniff Subrating reduces the power consumption when devices are in the sniff low-power mode, especially when linking with asymmetric data flows.

An example to setup EB-MDC1:

• Insert Edimax CD in the CD-ROM and follow the on-screen instructions for software installation.

• Insert EB-MDC1 into computer USB port.

• Reboot the computer and start the Bluetooth software to make the Bluetooth connection
